Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The following individuals will be included in this study: 1. This study will involve student athletes who regularly or irregularly participate in sporting and athletic activities

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The following individuals will be excluded from this study: 1. This study will not include unhealthy student athletes. 2. This study will not include student athletes that are not in the university of Lagos.. 3. This study will not include student athletes with neurological and orthopedic disorders which can limit their participation.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome is the level of pain and soreness on the visual analogue scale before and after stretching

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Determining if Group 1 which is stretching before exercise is better in reducing pain intensity felt during DOMS, or if Group 2 which is stretching after the exercise is better at reducing the pain intensity felt during DOMS
