Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: For intervention inclusion: residents of catchment areas of selected study sites, age 0-19. For qualitative data collection at baseline/endline: Participated in a training session on diagnosis and management of T1D in children and adolescents provided by the program Has conducted blood glucose testing at the facility within the past 16 months Has participated in a community diabetes awareness event or distributed T1D IEC materials within their community as part of the program Participated in a training session on signs and symptoms of T1D in children and adolescents provided by the program Participant was involved in the design or administration of the intervention Participant works in oversight of diabetes programs Participant provided informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: For intervention exclusion: residents outside of catchment areas of selected study sites. For qualitative data collection at baseline/endline: Participated has not participated in any training session provided by the program Has not conducted blood glucose testing at the facility within the past 16 months Has not participated in a community diabetes awareness event or distributed T1D IEC materials within their community as part of the program Participant was not involved in the design or administration of the intervention or does not work in oversight of diabetes programs Participant did not provide informed consent
