Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All children aged <18 years admitted for elective tonsillectomy at ENT department in KCMC Hospital from September 2024 to June 2025 whose parents consented for their children to be included on the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient having severe systemic disease (ASA classification more than 2) 2. Known allergy to any of the study drugs 3. Under chronic analgesic treatment 4. Psychomotor retardation 5. Undergoing one-sided tonsillectomy, tonsillectomy of known cancer, tonsillar biopsy, tonsillectomy due to peritonsillar abscess or tonsillectomy together with palatal surgery
