Inclusion criteria: Children with iron deficiency anemia Age of children were from 2-12 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with other types of anemias Patients with Celiac disease Patients who refused to sign the informed consent

Response of oral iron therapy after one month post intervention by increased hemoglobin level, hematocrit and serum ferritin

Response of oral iron therapy after 6 months post intervention by improvement of anthropometric measurements of growth
