Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All school children whose ages ranged from 7-14 years old attending and who had microscopically confirmed A. lumbricoid mono-infection without history of anti-helminthic drugs in take within the last 6 months before study period and able to to provide required stool samples at the baseline, after 2- 3 weeks and 3 months of baseline albendazole treatment were included in the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: School-age children unable to bring parents/legal guardian to the school, who have a history of known major systemic or chronic illnesses, malnutrition, and GIT diseases, who take anti-in?ammatory drugs/ antibiotics during the study period based on vital signs and prior clinical history, who have been vomiting within 4 hours after drug administration, experienced diarrhea , severe allergic reaction to albendazole, Infected with other than intestinal parasite than A.lumbricoide were excluded from the study
