Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who underwent LAGB with inadequate weight loss (EBWL <50%), or weight regain and seeking a revisional surgery. And all patients who completed their 18 months follow-up.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The total number of patients before exclusion was 94 . In which, 9 patients were excluded due to the following: performed a previous midline laparotomy, and who performed bariatric procedures other than SG or OAGB as a revisional surgery for LAGB as RYNGB. We also excluded patients with complications of a primary surgical procedure such as severe reflux relative to LAGB requiring LAGB removal. Besides, 4 patients were excluded because they did not complete their 18-month follow-up and 4 cases aborted during the procedure due to the severe adhesions and fibrosis from the previous surgery . Those 4 cases were excluded from our study as it is a single stage study .

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Patients were reassessed for weight loss, associated medical problems remission and post-operative complications at 6, 12, and 18 months.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Patients were followed at 6, 12, and 18 months postoperative; weight loss after RS, remission of associated medical problems, and complication rate after the first three postoperative months and during the first 18 months postoperative.
