Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: • Geriatric patients aged 60 years or more scheduled for elective TKR. • Both genders will be included. • American society of anesthesiologists (ASA class) class I or II. • Surgery less than 3 hours
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • Age 30 kg m2 or <20 kg m2). • ongoing infection, immunological deficiency • After inclusion, patients were excluded if there was hemodynamic instability owing to bleeding or sepsis requiring infusion of fluids, blood, and inotropes intraoperatively.
