Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: This study will be conducted on 50 pediatric patients of either sex with their age ranging from 6 month to 18years submitted for on pump elective repair of congenital heart disease

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded from the current study in case of refusal of their guardians, redo cardiac surgery, coagulation disorders, renal, hepatic or pulmonary disease, heart failure, and moderate to severe pulmonary hypertension

Measurement of cytokines. Serum levels of Interleukin6,Interleukin-8

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. extubation time, 2. urinary output per body weight 3. blood pressures, 4. central venous pressure, 5. fluid requirement 6. inotrope score during the first 24 hours of Cardiac Intensive Care Unit stay.
