Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I/II of both sexes undergoing elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy 2. Age between 18 and 65 years. 3. Body mass index (BMI) of 18-35 kg/m2.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient refusal to participate in the study. 2. Body mass index more than 40 kg/m2. 3. Preoperative anemia (Hemoglobin <10gm/dl) 4. Severe hemodynamic unstability (mean blood pressure <60mmHg ) 5. Patients with high peak inspiratory pressure more than 30 CmH2O before PEEP setting 6. Cardiovascular diseases and previous history of pulmonary embolism. 7. Severe Respiratory diseases (obstructive and restrictive lung diseases) 8. Smokers. 9. Pregnancy.
