Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients with goitres requiring thyroidectomy with drainage.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with coagulation disorders as determined by clinical or laboratory parameters. Thyroidectomy for malignancy requiring lymph node dissection. History of diabetes mellitus or other immunosuppressive illness. Uncontrolled hypertension and other co-morbidities. Patients who request for a particular drain.Patients undergoing completion thyroidectomy. Thyroidectomies done without drainage
