Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Any patient who will be subjected to mastoid surgery, including cortical mastoidectomy, canal wall up mastoidectomy, and canal wall down mastoidectomy, used for the management of uncomplicated chronic otitis media. Age is more than 18 years old.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Immunocompromised patients (diabetes mellitus). Patients with disorders that interfere with wound healing, e.g. malnutrition. Patients on steroid therapy or previous head and neck radiotherapy. Patients with bleeding disorders checked by blood test screening. Age is less than 18 years. Patients scheduled for revision ear surgery.
