Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for wards: • Wards within urban, peri-urban and rural districts in Mwanza region • Wards covered by selected radio stations in Mwanza region Inclusion criteria for girls in cohort: • 13-15-years-old • Enrolled in form 1, 2 or 3 in a public secondary school at baseline (no private or boarding Schools) • Residents of the selected wards • Have no disability preventing participation • Available for participation in the designated activities • Assent to participate in the study and have received parent or guardian consent Inclusion criteria for men in cohort: • Men currently employed as bodaboda [motorcycle taxi] drivers • Men aged 23-50 years-old • Residents in the selected wards • Have no disability preventing participation • Available for participation in the designated activities • Consent to participate in the study Inclusion criteria for social network members of cohort: • 13 years or older • Residents in the selected wards • Have no disability preventing participation • Available for participation in the designated activities • Consent to participate in the study Inclusion criteria for participants in cross-sectional survey: • 13 years or older • Residents of the selected wards • Have no disability preventing participation • Available for participation in the designated activities • Assent to participate in the study and have received parent or guardian consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for wards: • Wards outside Mwanza region • Wards in Mwanza where the signal of selected radio stations does not reach Exclusion criteria for girls in cohort: • Girls outside age range of 13-15-years-old • Not enrolled in form 1, 2 or 3 in a public secondary school at baseline • Not a resident in the selected ward • Living with a disability that could prevent participation, such as cognitive impairment • Pregnant, married or cohabiting girls • Not available for participation in designated study activities • Previously partaken in cross-sectional survey as part of quasi-experimental study • Do not assent to participate in the study and/or have not received parent or guardian consent. Exclusion criteria for men in cohort: • Men not currently employed as bodaboda [motorcycle taxi] drivers • Men outside age range of 23-50 years-old • Not residents in selected ward • Living with a disability that could prevent participation, such as cognitive impairment • Not available for participation in designated study activities • Previously partaken in cross-sectional survey as part of quasi-experimental study • Do not consent to participate in the study Exclusion criteria for social network members of cohort: • Under 13 years-old • Not residents in selected ward • Living with a disability that could prevent participation, such as cognitive impairment • Not available for participation in designated study activities • Previously partaken in cohort or cross-sectional survey as part of quasi-experimental study • Do not consent to participate in the study
