Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patient's age ranged from 50-65 years. 2. All participants had an ischemic stroke in the anterior circulation with a duration of illness ranged from three to six months prior to enrollment. 3. Mild spasticity of the affected lower limb ranging from 1 to 1+ according to modified Ashworth scale. 4. All patients were ambulant. 5. Patients had sufficient cognitive and communication abilities and were able to understand and follow instructions (Mini-Mental Scale >24). 6. Patients had a body mass index that did not exceed 35. 7. Patients were medically stable.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Musculoskeletal disorders that can have a negative effect on the patient’s gait such as severe arthritis or contractures that led to a fixed deformity. 2) Cognitive impairment (a score less than 24 according to the MMSE). 3) Patients with congestive heart failure, unstable angina, or shortness of breath. 4) Patients with visual or auditory defects. 5) Patients with any history of vestibular system defects. 6) Patients with diabetic neuropathy or peripheral neuropathy.
