Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. AGYW aged 18 to 24 years old 2. AGYW receiving PrEP services at seme sub county MOH PrEP facilities. 3. AGYW who have missed at least one visit appointment in the past one year. 4. AGYW on PrEP who is willing and able to provide informed consent for participation. 5. Male partner of AGYW on PrEP willing and able to provide informed consent for participation. 6. AGYW not participating in another research study related to HIV testing, treatment and prevention.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. AGYW less than 18 years of age and above 24 years of age 2. AGYW not on PrEP 3. AGYW on PrEP and not willing and able to provide informed consent for participation. 4. Male partner of AGYW on PrEP not willing and able to provide informed consent for participation. 5. Couples whose partners have been selected as male champions 6. AGYW participating in another study on HIV/AIDS

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Enhanced PrEP support by male partners of AGYW on PrEP. Evaluated by measuring the proportion of AGYW reporting improved support for PrEP use by male partners and proportion of AGYW having improved PrEP adherence and retention assessed by a two way comparison of data in PrEP facilities: i) adherence and retention rates 3-6 months before the intervention and 3-6 months during the intervention and ii) adherence and retention rates between the intervention arm compared to the control arm.—

MeasureTime frame
1. Reception of the intervention by the targeted population. Assessed by measuring the number of particpants reached and screened in the targeted population against those who are enrolled in the study. 2. Identification of the barriers and facilitators of implementing the intervention. Assessed by evaluating feedback collected from study participants reached with the intervention.—
