Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Children aged between 2 to 12 years. 2. Elective open cardiac surgery via median sternotomy for the repair of simple congenital heart diseases. 3. ASA I:III
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Repeated cardiac surgery. 2. Emergency surgery. 3. Intubated patients. 4. Patients receiving inotropic support. 5. Presence of pulmonary hypertension. 6. Presence of bleeding disorders. 7. Presence of allergy to the amide local anesthetics. 8. Presence of thoracic spine deformity and history of thoracic vertebrae trauma or surgery.
