Inclusion criteria: Provide consent Term pregnancy Live fetus Singleton pregnancy Cephalic presenting fetus Parity less than 5

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of atonic postpartum haemorrhage Uterine fibroids Grand multiparity Previous caesarean section Multiple gestations Placenta praevia Use of anticoagulants or tocolytics Chorioamnionitis Any known uterine malformation History of coagulopathy.
