Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient candidate for TIPS procedure under the care of a hepatologist with an interventional radiologist ( e.g. refractory ascites, refractory hepatic hydrothorax, hepatorenal syndrome, Budd–Chiari syndrome and hepatic veno-occlusive disease). The patient who will need general anesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Heart failure and severe tricuspid regurgitation • Severe pulmonary hypertension (mean pulmonary pressure > 45 mm Hg) • Multiple hepatic cysts and biliary obstruction • Allergy to any of the study drugs • Major intraoperative events (e.g. severe hemodynamic instability, massive blood loss). • Body-mass index higher than 40 kg/m² • Unwilling to participate in the study.
