Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who reside in Kakamega County with both diabetes mellitus type 2 and hypertension and will have given consent will be included in the study. Patients aged between 30 -60 years, this is because the age group have stable physiological states. Patients on first line antihypertensive and on a combination of repaglinide and metformin for diabetes mellitus type 2 because they are the commonly used. Patients on treatment for less than 5 years. Patients not on insulin.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who will be critically ill will be excluded from the study. Participants outside the age bracket of 30- 60 years will be excluded from the study Patients not on first line antihypertensive and not on a combination of repaglinide and metformin for diabetes mellitus type 2. Patients on treatment for more than 5 years. Patients on insulin.
