Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients, of either gender, with a Child-Pugh score not more than B and scheduled for ultrasound-guided PRFA of primary or secondary hepatic tumors a single focal hepatic lesion will be enrolled in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with an INR value exceeding 1.5, platelet count less than 50,000/mm3, body mass index (BMI)>35, history of mental disorders or psychiatric illness, those with chronic pain or on regular remedies of analgesics, allergy to local anesthetics and spine deformity will be excluded from the study
