Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Apparently healthy young children Age between 24-36 months Willing to consume edible house crickets Not be wasted (weight-for-height z-score >-2) or severely stunted (height-for-age z-score >-3) (WHO 2006 growth standards) Signed informed consent by guardian
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Having consumed vitamin and mineral supplements 5 mg/L) Anaemia (defined as Hb <7g/dl) Known food allergies related to the intervention meals: Allergic to crustaceans; meaning no allergies for amongst others: crabs, lobsters, crayfish, shrimps and prawns. Reported medically prescribed diet Breastfed children (=1 time per day)
