Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1- Age from 1 to 8 years. 2- American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I–II. 3- Elective lower abdominal surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1- History of clinically significant cardiac, hepatic, renal, or neurological dysfunction. 2- Coagulopathy. 3- Allergy to study drugs.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome measure is the total morphine consumption in the first postoperative 24 h.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Postoperative pain score. 2. Time to first rescue analgesia and its frequency. 3. Parents satisfaction. 4. Postoperative complications (fever, vomiting)
