Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. 18 years of age or older 2. Singleton gestation 3. More than 34 weeks’ gestation 4. Vertex presentation 5. Ruptured membranes

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients on trial for vaginal delivery after cesarean section 2. Fetus with known congenital anomalies 3. Chorioamnionitis 4. Preeclampsia/Hemolysis Elevated Liver Enzymes Low Platelets (HELLP) syndrome 5. Suspected Small for Gestational Age (SGA)/Intra-uterine Growth Restriction (IUGR) 6. Stillbirth 7. Maternal pulmonary disease with O2 saturation in labor < 95% 8. Any condition that precludes ROM or vaginal delivery (placenta praevia) 9. Malpresentation 10. Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) disease 11. Multifetal gestation 12. Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM)
