Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Are aged 18-64 years. 2. Diagnosed of a first ever episode of ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke (including intracerebral hemorrhage and subarachnoid hemorrhage). 3. Attained mild functional motor capacity of the affected upper limb, as indicated by a score of 10 on the Action Research Arm Test. 4. Have a Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) score of above 18 5. Speaks Hausa.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Have cerebrovascular events due to malignancy or head trauma 2. Have limited comprehension and receptive aphasia 3. Have been diagnosed with other neurological disorder 4. Will not be available for 5 months follow up 5. Are currently attending physiotherapy out-patient departments for rehabilitation services
