Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) for pain that ranged from (0 = no pain) to (10 = intolerable pain). If score is >3 will need analgesia in the form of morphine 0.05 mg/kg will be given till NRS decreases to =3. NRS will be assessed and recorded on arrival to the Recovery Unit, 4,8,12,18,24 h after the operation, | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |

| Consumption of anesthetic drugs. Stress response by measuring serum cortisol level which will be measured preoperatively, at time of skin incision, 30 min after skin incision, after skin closure, 6h and 24 h postoperatively. Hemodynamic (mean arterial blood pressure and heart rate) will be recorded 5 min after induction of general anesthesia, 5 min after thoracolumbar interfascial plane block, every 30 min till the end of the surgery, at discharge to PACU, 2 h ,4 h, 8 h, 10h, 12 h., 18 h and 24 h postoperatively. Time of extubation after stopping all anesthetic drugs. Time of the first dose of rescue analgesia (morphine). Number of patients received rescue analgesia.
