Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All consenting pregnant women with singleton pregnancies with cephalic presenting fetuses who deliver spontaneously at term . primigavida pARA2 p3 p4, p5 p means parity , VIRGIN ABDOMEN

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Caesarean section or instrumental delivery, 2. Haemoglobin less than 8 gm%, 3. History of antepartum haemorrhage, 4. Severe pregnancy induced hypertension, 5. Pre-eclampsia or eclampsia 6. Estimated foetal weight >4.5kg, 7. Vaginal or Cervical Lacerations 8. Medical disorders (cardiovasculardisease,liver diseases,sickle-cell disease diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders ,other coagulation abnormality, history of bronchial asthma 9.Failure to consent to participate in the study
