Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The following patients were eligible: HIV infected On treatment with Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate/ lamivudine/ efavirenz regimen Started this regimen for at least 6 months Adult males or females between 18-60 years Weighing at least 50 kg Females have a negative pregnancy Females are non-lactating Females practice birth control methods willing and able to consume African potato

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The following patients were ineligible: History of illicit drug use Consumes grapefruit juice/ alcohol/ tobacco for at least 48 hours before enrolment and throughout the study period. Has any acute illness Family history of cardiac complications. Taking any medications other than the study medications without the prior approval of the study team

AUC - Area under the plasma concentration-time curve. Baseline, day 1 and post African potato use, day 11.
