Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: patients aged 18-45 years, singleton pregnancy, vertex, breech or transverse presentation, intact membranes
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: multiple pregnancy, history of ruptured membranes before CS, evidence of chorioamnionitis before CS, history of diabetes –pregestational or gestational diabetes-, immunocompromised state –prolonged steroid therapy-, fetal demise, preterm birth < 37 weeks, placenta previa or accreta.
