Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Control and treated households need to be located in the districts and communities chosen for the pilot intervention and need to be receiving the PSNP (cash transfers). Treated households need to include public works recipients and direct support recipients.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Households that are not PSNP recipients are excluded from the study. There is no specific exclusion criteria in terms of household composition of treated and control households.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcomes to be measured include children and women nutritional status, children and adults health, food security, exposure and access to health and nutrition services including health insurance, infant and young child feeding practices, early childhood development, and expenditure on education and health.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary outcomes to be measure include households economic and productive activities, household time use, household financial assets and services, perceptions about child marriage, violence victimization and perpetration, school attendance, future aspirations, mental health, women’s empowerment and intra-household distribution and bargaining, and gender dynamics.
