Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA I and II children between the ages of 1 and 6 years scheduled for groin procedures in the Day Case theatre (Herniotomies and orchidopexies).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: . Parent`s or guardian`s refusal ¿ In-patients ¿ Patients known to be allergic to bupivacaine ¿ Patients known to be allergic to midazolam or other benzodiazepines ¿ Patients on sedatives ¿ Patients with neurological disease ¿ Patients with lumbosacral deformities ¿ Coagulopathy
