Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Elective single valve replacement (Mitral or aortic)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with airway and/or parenchymal lung disease. pulmonary hypertension more than 100 mmHg Immunodeficiency. hematological disorders. hepatic or renal impairment pregnancy morbid obesity diabetic. patients with myocardial ischemia or infarction. patients with peripheral vascular disease. patients receiving drugs that interfere with the mechanism of RIPC i.e. sulfonylureas, nicorandil or propofol.
