Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients > 15 year old presenting with soft tissue defects of the leg and/or foot that needed coverage with a flap.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients presenting with a soft tissue defect larger than 50 cm2 are excluded from the study. Patients with systemic vascular diseases like atherosclerosis or vasculitis as well as patients with peripheral ischemia (Ankle Brachial Index less than 0.7)8 are excluded from the study.
