Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 120 patients, their ages ranged between 18 and 60 years, ASA physical status class I and II underwent elective cataract surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: known hypersensitivity to magnesium sulphate or succinylcholine hypocalcaemia any degree of heart block hypertensive obese (BMI >30) any cardiovascular, renal, hepatic or muscular disease patients with raised IOP previous eye surgery patients receiving any drug known to alter IOP
