Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA grade I¿III and aged 18¿70 years of both sex scheduled for vitreoretinal surgery with sub-Tenon¿s anesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: the usual contraindications for regional anesthesia, coagulation abnormalities, impaired mental status, uncontrolled glaucoma, recent surgical procedure on the same eye, allergy to the studied drugs and refusal of the patient.
