Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosis of first ever stroke ¿18 years of age Onset of ¿30 days Sufficient cognition to participate (having a score of ¿24 points on mini-mental state examination) Willing to participate in an eight (8) week intensive Circuit class therapy programme.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Precluding medical comorbidity to exercise History of any major surgical procedure significant enough to interfere with patient¿s performance (general or orthopaedic) in an exercise therapy intervention Mental instability or receptive aphasia (with difficulty to comprehend single part commands) Decline to signing a written informed consent, either by the stroke survivor or his/her proxy.
