Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult – The participant is 18 years old or older. COPD – The participant has a COPD diagnosis according to the GOLD 2026 reportExacerbation history – The participant has experienced at least one exacerbation in the past year. Cardiopulmonary health risks discussed – The participant has been informed about cardiopulmonary risk by their medical professional. This includes the risk of future exacerbations and/or cardiovascular events.Ability – The participant is physically and cognitively able to participate in a ~60 minute interview and able to discuss their experience of cardiopulmonary health risks with a researcher. The participant is able to understand the context and goal of the research, and is able to express themselves in Dutch.Written informed consent – The participant has given written informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Vulnerable persons - Patients with cognitive, psychiatric, physical or communication impairments that prevent them from giving informed consent, substantially limit the reliability of the interview, or make participation disproportionately burdensome or unjustifiable in the opinion of the researcher and/or the treating physician.
