18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 18 years or older, admitted to the gastroenterology, urology, gynecology, and oncology wards of the Amphia Hospital in Breda.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Bed rest, palliative care pathway.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome: the percentage of the day spent in a lying position (behavioral mapping).  

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary outcomes: the number of steps per day (pedometer), length of hospital stay, complications, functional limitations, and patient experience (measured through a questionnaire).
