Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: >18 yearsWilling to give written informed consent (IC) PAD stage Fontaine 2 (2a or 2b)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Amputation of (part of) the lower extremitiesPresence of wounds or other skin lesions on the foot (e.g. ulcers, blisters, or other forms of skin damage)Severe callusSevere cold sensitivity (e.g. Raynaud’s syndrome)Oedema or infection of (part of) the lower extremitiesSevere or unstable heart failure (NYHA class III–IV or recent decompensation)
