Patients are asked to wear an activitymonitor on the upper leg during 14 days after their hup fracture surgery.

65 Years to 99 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients admitted to the Emergency Department with a traumatic hip fracture .Patients 70 years of age or older.Patients who choose surgical management.Patients who are capable, willing and able to give informed consent for their participation in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Age below 70 years.Patients who qualify for a total hip arthroplasty (THA). Patients with a pathologic fracture. Patients with a previous contralateral hip fracture.Patients who are admitted to the emergency department in the context of a multi-trauma (ISS>16).Patients who choose non-surgical management.Patients with additional injury or disease that prevents mobility after surgery.
