18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: For ataxia patients:Clinical diagnosis of spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA6, SCA3, or SCA27b)Age between 18–75 yearsFor healthy controls:No history of neurological or psychiatric disordersAge and sex matched to the patient group

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: PregnancyGeneral contraindications for MRI: presence of metal implants or other MRI contraindications (e.g., pacemaker, aneurysm clips)Severe claustrophobia or inability to remain still during scanningAdditional exclusion criteria for ataxia patients:Acute medical conditions that could interfere with MRI or study proceduresInability to comply with study requirementsOther neurological disorder, or another disease that significantly influences  gait

MeasureTime frame
Morphological and microstructural imaging markers (e.g., regional cerebellar volume, cortical thickness and gyrification, diffusion metrics, and functional connectivity).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Feasibility of the imaging protocol in ataxia patients, regional comparison of imaging markers between groups.
