Interventions
Two interventions will be studied in this trial: virtual reality and music distraction (instead of midazolam), with a (lowered) dose of fentanyl if needed.

Age
18 Years to 99 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: = 18 years of ageDiagnostic colonoscopy (bowel cancer screening program or surveillance) without a strict indication for conscious sedation or deep sedation
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Interventional colonoscopy, or any other strict indication for conscious sedation or deep sedationHistory of psychiatric disorder (excluding depression)History of claustrophobiaHistory of epilepsyHistory of balance disordersSevere auditory impairment (impossibility to hear music without a hearing device) Limited proficiency of Dutch language and no interpreter
