18 Years to 64 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: In order to be eligible to participate in this study, a subject must meet all of the following criteria:Operated in the Central OR of the Erasmus Medical Center.Operated under general anesthesia and mechanical ventilation.Data on respiratory rate setting en ventilarory mode available in HIX (PDMS)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: A potential subject who meets any of the following criteria will be excluded from participation in this study: Operated in an OR other than the Central OR of the Erasmus Medical Center.Operated without the use of mechanical ventilation; e.g. spontaneous breathing, high frequency jet ventilation.

MeasureTime frame
Respiratory rate settings of all operations during the past 5 years will be generated from HIX (PDMS). In addition, the ventilation mode will be generated to discriminate between ventilated and non-ventilated patients. This data is anonymous and cannot be traced back to individual patients.
