All adolescents will use the Your Bridge app
an app designed to empower adolescents and prepare them for their intake at the psychosocial care unit.

Eligibility

Age
12 Years to 64 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adolescents: 1) Age between 12-18 years old 2) Diagnosed with a chronic somatic illness 3) Being treated at the Erasmus MC Sophia Children’s Hospital 4) Being referred for psychological care A chronic illness is defined as: a condition that lasts longer than 3 months, recurs more than three times a year and / or is related to long-term use of medication, treatments or help (van Hal et al., 2019). Psychologists: 1) Have worked with an adolescent that has used the My Digital Friend app

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Adolescents: 1) Insufficient proficiency of the Dutch language 2) IQ < 75, 3) Suspected suicidal ideationsPsychologists: None
