A patient decision aid and a toolbox for professionals has been developed.

Eligibility
Age
18 Years to 64 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Between 35 and 65 years of age- Undergoing cholecystectomy or bariatric surgery- Will have residual ovarian tissue after surgery- Has reached completion of childbearing- Able to understand the written or spoken Dutch language- Gives consent for enrolment in database
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Under 35 or over 65 years of age- Undergoing surgery in which currently both ovaries and fallopian tubes would not be preserved- Child wish- Unable to understand the written or spoken Dutch language- Previous bilateral salpingectomy- Previous bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy

| We will assess the degree of implementation of OS by examining medical files through assessment of the number of women who were eligible for OS, have been offered OS, and underwent OS. Moreover, we will monitor (not examine) the safety of OS during non-gynaecological intra-abdominal surgery performed by surgeons (not gynaecologists) on the level of rate of accomplishment; all intraoperative and postoperative complications; surgery time and length of hospital stay. In addition, experiences of the stakeholders (patients and professionals) with the implementation of OS and the different elements of the implementation strategy will be assessed by focus groups and interviews. | — |
