Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: In order to be eligible to participate in this study, the following inclusion criteria are applied:Child's age at enrollment 24-36 months;Child has a substantially elevated, but not extremely severe, level of emotion dysregulation (score between 70-98 percentile) as measured with the EDI-YC (score =8 but <19) by at least one of the parents; At least one of the parents has a self-reported mental disorder and currently experiences mild to moderate, but no severe psychological problems, as measured with the GHQ-12 (sore =3 and < 9).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Extremely high ED levels (EDI-YC =19, more than 2 SD above population mean), indicating the need for more intensive care.Both parents scoring =9 on the GHQ-12, indicating severe to very severe parental psychopathology or both parents have an intellectual disability.Insufficient parental capacity due to issues such as financial or housing instability, severe substance abuse, or an ongoing supervision order.Current treatment in specialized mental healthcare due to concerns about child development or attachment.Municipality does not approve treatment request.Lack of consent from one of the parents with parental rights.Familly is participating or has been participating in the OK-PMT study with another child.Family currently participating in the ROAD or TRAILS-NEXT studies.
