18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: A. Lynch carriersInclusion criteriaMentally competent women with proven Lynch mutation under surveillance at Radboudumc; Age 40 – 60 years.B. Non-Lynch carriersInclusion criteriaMentally competent women approached by a proven Lynch mutation carrier under surveillance in Radboudumc; Age 35 – 65 years (wider age interval due to the five-year age range).C. Patients with endometrial cancerInclusion criteriaMentally competent women with non-Lynch endometrial cancer in Radboudumc, Canisius Wilhelmina Ziekenhuis  or Rijnstate undergoing hysterectomyAge 40 – 75 years

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The composition of the vaginal microbiome in women with Lynch syndrome in terms of diversity, relative abundance, and relative contribution of Lactobacillus compared to healthy women of the same age.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The stability of the vaginal microbiome over a period of time (4 months).A comparison of the vaginal microbiome between women with/without Lynch syndrome without endometrial cancer and those with non-Lynch-related endometrial cancer.
