Age
18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Currently hospitalized or hospitalized in the previous seven days for acute coronary syndromeAge of = 18 yearsSufficient understanding of the Dutch language

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Life threatening comorbidity (e.g. metastasized cancer)Severe cognitive limitations (e.g. progressed dementia)Patients without internet-access cannot participate in online psychoeducation of cardiac rehabilitation and therefore cannot participate in the studyPatients without a smartphone can participate in the study, but not in the evaluation of the telemonitoring since they cannot participate in the telemonitoring.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Comparison of CR participation rates for the CR with in-hospital psychoeducation and the CR with online psychoeducation. Comparison between baseline outcomes and outcomes after CR for both types of CR and between CR groups for:Development of levels of kinesiophobia and daily functioning on the four time points will be compared between regular CR and e-health enriched CR. Levels of kinesiophobia and daily functioning after CR participation will be compared between regular CR and e-health enriched CR.The feasibility and (dis)advantages of the online psychoeducation and telemonitoring will be evaluated by interviewing patients and CR-professionals.
