Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: In order to be eligible to participate in this study, a subject must meet all of the following criteria: • Aged =18 years; • Clinically confirmed heart failure according to the 2021 ESC HF guidelines, independent of aetiology; • Able to understand the procedures and are willing to provide informed consent; • Able to speak, read and write Dutch in order to be able to fill in the questionnaires.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: A potential subject who meets any of the following criteria will be excluded from participation in this study: • Patients younger than 18 years of age. • Inability to follow instructions or comply with follow-up procedures • A known bacterial infection at the inclusion time
