18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Between 18 and 70 years old;One of the following clinical signs: positive Mulder’s click in the area of the communal and/or interdigital nerve of the foot, a painful webspace or lack of sensation within the interdigital webspace or toes; Thickening of the communal and/or interdigital nerve of the foot between 2 mm – 6 mm on ultrasound;Understand the Dutch language on a proper level.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Younger than 18 years of age or older than 70 years old;Prior surgery for MN or other indications in the same area; Patients with a communal and/or interdigital nerve of the foot smaller than 2 mm or larger than 6 mm;Prior corticosteroid or other injections and/or radiofrequency ablatio for MN within 6 months before inclusionAnticoagulant use;Metabolic syndrome with a BMI >30;Pregnant woman or woman with an active child whish;Patients who are immunocompromised or with a known articular systemic disease;  such as rheumatoid arthritis; Patients with prednisone use or immunotherapy. 

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primairy study endpoint will be pain evaluated by the numeric pain rating scale (NPRS). 

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secundary study endpoints will be characterisation of blood and PRP for leukocyte and platelet count, ultra-sound evaluation of the interdigital and communal nerves of the foot, the Manchester-Oxford Foot Questionnaire (MOXFQ), Foot Function Index (FFI) and SF-12 Quality of Life Questionnaire.
