The intervention consists of undergoing metabolic and bariatric surgery (MBS) in patients diagnosed with MS.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: MS according to MS diagnostic criteriaHas undergone primary MBS between 1-1-2011 and 1-12-2023Age = 18 yearsA stable or increasing eEDSS over the last two preoperative yearsMS-parameters available from = 2 years before MBS until = 1 year after MBSAvailable information about BMI from 2 year before until 1 year after MBS, type of MBS and MBS related complications
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Diagnosed with MS after MBSNo information about age, gender and preoperative BMI (for matching)None of the following MS-related outcomes measures available: eEDSS, radiological activity, annual relapse rate, T25FW, type of immune modulatorion therapy
