No intervention, apart from cohort study of those admitted to EPC unit

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Age = 18 year of age- Undergoing non-cardiac surgery, - An overnight stay in the EPC unit. Patients admitted after midnight can be included if a monitoring period of at least two hours is available.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: re-operations within the studyperiod, non-surgical EPC unit patients admitted to the EPC unit due to limited ICU/high care capacity (during the COVID pandemic).
